Leonardo AW139

The Leonardo AW139 is one of the most popular medium twin-engine helicopters in operation today.

The AW139’s flexible design makes it a very capable platform for offshore oil & gas support, VIP transportation, medical evacuation and other utility flying tasks.

The AW139 can carry up to 15 passengers and can cruise at up to 165 knots (190mph) for up to five hours. It has two Pratt & Whitney PT6A-67C engines, producing 1,679 shp each.

The AW139 is constructed with energy-absorbing landing gear, fuselage and seats all designed to meet the rigorous JAR / FAR 29 standards. The aircraft also has a state of the art fully glass cockpit and full digital electronic engine control (FADEC) to minimise pilot workload.

Everett Aviation has operated the AW139 for Statoil and Ophir in the offshore and search & rescue roles.
